Multi-year agreement will see role-based messaging roll out across all major Bayside Health Peninsula hospital campuses within three months
Frankston, Victoria — October 2026 — Baret Technologies, an Australian healthcare communication technology provider, today announced a multi-year partnership with Bayside Health Peninsula to deploy a role-based clinical communication platform across its major hospital campuses — Peninsula University Hospital (formerly Frankston Hospital), Rosebud Hospital, Frankston Public Surgical Centre, Golf Links Road Rehabilitation Centre and The Mornington Centre. Bayside Health Peninsula expects the rollout to be complete within three months.
The platform enables clinical staff to communicate by role rather than by name or device — ensuring messages reach whoever is on shift, rather than relying on a specific individual being available. It is designed to replace communication methods such as, switchboards and unsanctioned consumer messaging apps with a single, secure and auditable system, built natively on Microsoft Teams and Microsoft 365.
Bayside Health Peninsula joins a number of Australian public health services already using Baret, spanning both metropolitan and regional communities — including Austin Health, Monash Health and Mercy Health in metropolitan Melbourne, Bendigo Health, Albury Wodonga Health in regional Victoria, and Western Australia Health, which operates Baret state-wide across metropolitan and rural services. Baret’s role-based approach is also intended to support smoother patient flow between teams.
